Here's the gist of it all. I'm Steph. I design stuff. I will have my Bachelor's degree in May 2007.

I'm originally from Central Illinois... not far from Champaign-Urbana. Luckily, I escaped. In another year i'll probably move to St. Louis.

My journal is friends-only, because I never know what i'm going to write about, or what's going to turn up on Google. If you would like to read, just send me an IM or e-mail and I'll probably add you, with good reason.

My life is sort of based around design, 24/7. All my classes are design classes, and i'm currently designing at both jobs. I work at Shryock Auditorium as a graphic artist and at the Division of Continuing Education as an undergraduate assistant, currently working on promotional stuff. I also freelance in print and web.

My website is sort of missing for the time being. I changed servers, in addition to wanting to redesign it. However, I do have portfolio work available though for those interested.

In my free time.. well I don't really have much. :)

I love the outdoors - especially around here, it's gorgeous - unless there are spiders, wasps, or bees involved. The only time i've ever gone on a Spring Break was to go camping at a state park on the side of Lookout Mountain.

I also love the indoors - particularly my computer. I'm a definite Mac girl, and I can and will slam any PC user I want. :) I'll just sit here and laugh while you battle with your Windows insecurities and viruses and spyware.

I like movies - obscure movies. Every once in awhile i'm down for a chick flick though. Sadly, there are no really great video rental places around here and I don't watch enough movies to justify Netflix. :( I'm into foreign films, documentaries, independent stuff, etc. Actually mainstream movies tend to piss me off with their lameness. :P

I read when I can. Actually I read all sorts of things but a lot of it isn't books. I read the internet - news sites, blogs, informational pages, whatever. I read Mac World magazine and the occasional Cosmo. I read the labels on the food I eat and the products I use. I read the newspaper. I read books, but that's not very common anymore.

I love music. I've almost always got something playing, wherever I am. I own an iPod, of *course* I own an iPod. I dislike rap/hip-hop. Even more, I dislike country. I can't narrow down what I like, it really depends on what kind of day i'm having. :P

Other than that, i'm not sure i'm much of an exciting person anymore! I do plenty of obscure things, if I leave my room at all. I carry a Sharpie with me at all times, because I never know when it'll come in handy. I totally drew faces on the burgers on the Steak n Shake placemat, and it was creepy. Coffee and cigarettes is one of my favorite pasttimes. Also one of my favorite movies. I have a favorite coffeehouse that I patronize as much as possible. I don't like to stay up late, I don't like to sleep past 9. I don't like fried food. Or popcorn. I do like cheesecake and ice cream, but can't eat either. I'll settle for pineapple pizza, or spinach salad. Or sushi! Yes, sushi. I drink in one semester what a normal person drinks in one weekend.

I can't stand it when people misspell words. Or say the word 'sucks'. Or spit.

That seems like a good enough note upon which to end this.
